GETQA (Global Education Training Quality Assurance) is an international English instructor certification issued

by the Canadian Instructor Quality Certification Association.


This certification verifies that an individual has met the rigorous Canadian standards to become a qualified English teacher in a variety of countries.


GETQA offers two levels of certification : 

Silver, a basic certification for new instructors, and Gold, a professional certification for instructors with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience.

Global Education Quality Assurance (GETQA) recognizes and distinguishes subject-specific competencies of language teachers, ensuring that teachers who are proficient in subjects other than language are able to teach in English.


GETQA provides employers and students with a credential from Glenn College that certifies English language instructors by validating their academic and technical foundations.


Glenn College has entered into an agreement with the association so that upon completion of the Online TESOL, TESOL Training classes and certification, you will automatically be approved to apply for GETQA.

Graduate of a 4-year or 2-year college

TESOL certification or equivalent

Proof of 300 hours of teaching experience

(can be substituted with a Glenn College diploma)

Criminal background check

(can be substituted with Glenn College diploma)

GETQA Gold


GETQA Gold is an advanced instructor certification for experienced English teachers, requiring a bachelor's degree, TESOL certification, 1,000 teaching hours, and letters of recommendation. It validates professionalism and enhances international teaching credentials.

Professional Recommendation Letters (Note: The Glenn College Diploma is not recognized as Gold, so applicants must independently meet all qualifications.)

GETQA Application Guide

GETQA provides an application guide, and students proceed individuall.

You can apply after obtaining the Online TESOL and TESOL Training Diploma. 


The cost of the silver certificate is an issuance fee of $200 and an additional shipping fee.


All costs are in Canadian dollars.
